Michelle Massey, MSW, LICSW is a Licensed Independant Clinical Social Worker and
Oncology Social Worker. She has spent many years working in medical social work at local hospitals and Cancer Pathways (formerly Gilda's Club Seattle). Understanding the medical system gives a unique perspective for patients and providers who would like counseling.
Michelle has extensive CEU training in art therapy and various recreation therapy activities are available.
Barney and Twyla provide animal assisted therapy to help with anxiety and depression.

Depression & Anxiety
My approach is to work with you using a variety of psychotherapy and CBT techniques to create realistic goals that are sustainable for you and your family. We combine classic child/adolescent development with art therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy techniques to discover and reach desired goals. We achieve this by providing a neutral safe space, listening to your concerns, and customizing a counseling treatment plan. Adolescents are one of our top favorite populations to work with!
Trauma & PTSD
Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances including medical trauma. Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger post traumatic events. We can help you overcome these symptoms and guide you through the process of grief and heal with resilience.
